The operating steps for the cigar cabinet humidifier are actually very simple. Just follow the steps in my video:

Next, I’ll provide a detailed explanation of the operation for you.

When you first receive the cigar electronic humidifier, don’t rush to use it. You need to clean the cigar cabinet humidifier before placing it inside the cigar cabinet.

Here’s a list of items you’ll need:

  • Cloth
  • Disinfectant alcohol

Dip the cloth in disinfectant alcohol and wipe every corner of it thoroughly. This will remove most of the bacteria from the surface of the humidifier, preventing cigars from being contaminated during storage.

Before adding water to the water tank, we need to check the maximum water level of the tank to avoid overfilling. You can first read the instruction manual, which suggests that the optimal water level for this humidifier is between 5.8 to 8.

Firstly, open the large water inlet and carefully pour water into the designated area, making sure not to spill water onto the fan. Once the water is added, close the lid securely.

During subsequent use:

  • When the water level is below “5.5”, please add water;
  • When the water level approaches “8”, you need to stop adding water.

Place the cigar cabinet humidifier at the bottom of the cigar cabinet and connect it to the power source. Some cigar cabinet models have sockets inside, so you can connect directly. However, for models without sockets inside but with a reserved circular hole at the back, you can pass the plug wire through it. You need to confirm this by yourself.

The blue humidity sensor box has a small hole. Hang it on the inside sidewall of the cigar cabinet. Inside the humidity sensor box, there is a humidity sensor that will continuously monitor the humidity near the cigars and display it on the screen.

Once the cigar cabinet humidifier is set up, we need to set the humidity level. The steps are very simple:

1. Connect the power. After connecting the plug to the power source, the screen will display “OFF.” This indicates that the power is on.

2. Turn on the device. Press the power button on the far left once, and the screen will display the current real-time humidity inside the cigar cabinet.

3. Check the initial humidity range. Press the “Up ▲” button once briefly to view the factory-set starting humidity of 60% RH. Press the “Down ▼” button once briefly to view the factory-set stopping humidity of 70% RH. Our initial target humidity range is 60%-70% RH.

4. Set the target humidity range. Press and hold the “Up ▲” button for 3 seconds without releasing it, and the screen will start flashing. Then, press the “Up ▲” button briefly to set the starting humidity. When the flashing stops, the starting humidity setting is complete. The procedure for setting the stopping humidity is the same.

By now, you’ve completed the setup of your cigar cabinet humidifier. Close the door of the cigar cabinet, and let the humidifier start serving your cigars. If you still want to learn more about usage details, please continue reading below.

JoeAir cigar humidifier has a feature that allows you to control the humidity level within a certain range. Its system can automatically regulate, so you just need to keep it on all the time.

ut if you don’t want to keep the cigar humidifier running all the time, you can also try using its timer function. This operation allows the humidifier to stop running after a few hours of operation, then automatically resume operation after a standby period. You can check out this video for detailed operation steps:

Now, let’s take a look at the breakdown of the timer operation steps:

1. Enter the setting mode

After turning on the humidifier switch, press the “Set” button on the far right to enter the setting mode.

2. Enter the “Timer On” mode

When the setting interface displays (000), press the “Up ▲” button to set the desired time; for example, press the “Up ▲” button twice, and the interface will display 002, indicating two hours later. After the setting is completed and the blinking stops, it indicates that the setting is complete. That is, the humidifier will automatically turn on in two hours.

3. Enter the “Timer Off” mode

The operation is the same as (2). Press the “Set” button on the far right again, and the interface will display (F00). Press the “Up ▲” button to set the closing time; the interface will display F01, indicating one hour later. Wait for the blinking to stop.

4. Complete the timer setting

Your humidifier will automatically shut down in one hour, then restart after a 2-hour break. It will run for another hour and then shut down, repeating this cycle.

Typically, it depends on the size of the cigar cabinet, humidity level in the cabinet, number of cigars stored, and size of the humidifier. Generally, it’s recommended to check the humidifier water level every 2-3 weeks. In drier environments, especially during winter, you may need to check it weekly.

If you’re just starting to use the cigar humidifier, it’s advisable to observe the water level for about 5-7 days until it needs refilling. Then, you’ll gradually become familiar with the water consumption of your cigar humidifier and determine the refilling frequency.

Tap water is not suitable for use with the cigar humidifier. The cigar humidifier can only use distilled water. Tap water commonly contains bacteria and minerals. Prolonged use can lead to mineral deposits and bacterial growth inside your humidifier, significantly reducing its lifespan. Moreover, it can also affect the flavor of cigars.

No, you don’t need to. The JoeAir cigar humidifier has a power-off restart function. If there’s an abnormal power outage while it’s running, it will automatically restart when the power is restored, ensuring that the cigar cabinet remains at an appropriate humidity level. So, you don’t need to worry if there’s a sudden power outage in your cigar shop.

The cigar humidifier does require regular cleaning. It’s exposed to high humidity for extended periods, making it susceptible to mold growth. Regular cleaning not only preserves the flavor of cigars by preventing bacterial contamination but also prolongs the humidifier’s lifespan. In the long run, it can also save money on humidification costs.

The number of cigars the cigar humidifier can humidify depends on the size of the cigar cabinet.

For example:

1. For a single-door cigar humidor with a space of approximately 30.26 cubic feet, capable of storing about 1000 cigars, we recommend using our YC-200(3.0) cigar humidifier.

2. For a large double-door cigar humidor with a space of approximately 62 cubic feet, capable of storing about 4000 cigars, we recommend using our YC-100(10.1) cigar humidifier.
